From the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village Collection, this vintage trade-card is all about INDUSTRIAL INSURANCE! The trade-card craze lasted from about 1870 until the turn of the century, when interest in trade-card collecting faded and new advertising outlets, particularly the popular press, grew in importance. Today, however, many of us vintage collectors delight in finding any and all vintage postcards and trade-cards! These are our treasures!
Remember these? I just listed some of these sweet vintage iron-on transfers in my etsy shop. I just love these adorable images! There are Scottie Dogs, Cute Cats, Tweety Birds, and Sunbonnet Sues all designed for days of the week...awesome! Here's the link: VINTAGE COTTAGE HOME Shop.
And the winner of my 500th post giveaway is Melanie at The Dying Art of Keeping House!

Here's a postcard from my collection that I just love! What is it about rabbits and lambs that is so irresistible! I simply cannot pass by an antique booth that has one of these beautiful animals on a pretty picture postcard or vintage book! The colors and spoken or unspoken sentiments of these antique illustrations are just wonderful!
