An Easter Surprise!

I couldn't believe my eyes when I looked out into the yard today and found this beautiful bouquet of blue flowers (scilla siberica) growing near the base of a tree. In the fifteen years we have been in this home we have not planted nor seen these in our yard before. Truly a joyous Easter surprise!

Happy Easter everyone! Wishing each and every one of you all the joys of the day and the months to come!

  16. Guess what? I found these in my garden yesterday among the ferns that haven't started growing yet this season. I never planted then or even knew what they were. Apparently they are springing up everywhere because I saw them on at least three other blogs this evening.

They are pretty and I read that they self-seed. So, we will probably be finding more of them next year!

  19. Beautiful! What a neat Easter surprise! Wonder if someone planted them on the sly, to give you joy in the spring? Or perhaps God planted them for you. He can do big miracles so He certainly can do little ones too! How joyful!!!
