Versailles is very beautiful, did you know that there was not one single bathroom in the whole palace and they took a bath only when they were sick or otherwise once a year. Therefore the best parfums were created in Paris !

In reading above from Gattina I see no bathroom and baths only once a year. Yes, no wonder they had such vibrant scents of perfume. Oh my. I cannot imagine that one.
