Laura, We had wild roses growing near where I grew up. My parents sometimes walked along a path that brought the roses forth each year. My mother often recalled how my father had picked the wild roses for her first bouquet when they were but teens! (I do not know if they have a botanical name.) Thanks for visiting! Coralie
Gorgeous Card Coralie! We had property on Whidbey Island (North and west of Seattle) growing up and the island was full of wild roses (and bunnies)! Nice memories for me!
Hi Coralie, I remember wild roses growing all over the place in the back of my Grandmom's house. They were pink and huge. I can still remembering the heavenly scent.
I love wild roses, and I have them! This is no small thing for me, for I am NO gardener. But my wild rose bush blooms every year for me and looks about like this. I am so grateful to them--they require nothing of me! C
It is such a great thing, this Pink Saturday--the folks who frequent this fun event are some of the nicest people in blogland...and that includes you, dear friend! I LOVE this postcard!
Happy Pink Saturday! You know you are the one who got me interested in participating. (Grin)
I LOVE wild roses, Coralie! This is such a gorgeous image...may I use it for a card sometime soon? It's just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a wonderful day!
I am embarrassed to say I didn't know wild roses existed.
ReplyDeleteDo they really grow wild, or are there varieties called wild roses?
Laura
What a perfectly pink post! I love it! Thank you for sharing. Hugs Anne
