My sister Connie's puppy, Cody, was the first of many wonderful Golden Retrievers to light up her life!
Next came Riley who was on the run from a dog catcher. Riley jumped into Connie's car and never looked back. Though she tried to find his owner, it was not to be and Riley became her best friend for years to come!
Today it is her beautiful golden, Makeeta, that keeps her hopping!

ReplyDeleteI love golden retrievers. However, my friend had one and they seemed to shed a lot.
ReplyDeleteOh how sweet about the dog jumping in her car. This happened to my son once. He found a lost dog and the dog ran after his car so he stopped let her in and brought her home to me. She was the sweetest dog we ever had and way too short a time too as she wasn't all that young when she found us but she has a wonderful life for her final years I still have her ashes by the way.

ReplyDeleteLOVE this! What a surprise to see MY dogs! They ARE the world's best! Don't think I have that photo of Makitta. Tammy, he was 10 months old when I got him...already had his name...I thought it was strange, but he responded to it, so never changed it. All I know is there was a hockey player (Stan Makitta) and there are Makitta power tools.???

ReplyDeleteMy Golden is Kodi,,,with a "K." Aka Kodiak....and he is my love and the first purebred dog I have ever owned! Although, he came from a training facility where they train companion dogs,,,,and well, he "flunked out."
