Prayers for an Open Heart

One week ago, my husband Jim went in for an exploratory procedure but was immediately scheduled for open-heart surgery.

While Jim was in surgery, I spent time in solitude praying for his swift and sure recovery. After seven and one-half hours in the operating room, he was brought into intensive care. His voice was low but sure. His heart was full of love.

He is now up and walking, exercising, and soon ready to return home! My prayers have been answered and I give thanks!

(The colored A is from Dover's
Floral Alphabet Coloring Book by Leslie Tillett which helped me through the day.)

  7. I don't know how but I missed this post. I'm so sorry I missed it. I'm at my laptop so much that I usually se your post within an hour or to of when you post.

I'm so glad he is doing better. I've had 2 heart surgeries (bypass and transplant). My second surgery was so much easier to recover from. I think they are getting better at it. With the first one, my sternam hurt for 9 months. With the last one, it was only a couple of months before it wasn't hurting anymore.

God bless you and I'm praying for you and your husbund.

    Lot's of love,
    Christine
