I love the Victorian era clothes myself, but thank God I wasn't alive then! I would be passing out from heat exhaustion and suffocation! But I love the crocheted collars.
Pretty Victorian cards...such trouble they went through to tighten their tummy's and now we have spanx...not quite as elegant! lol Happy Pink Saturday Grace xoxo
HI CORALIE, I THINK IT WOULD BE NICE TO GO BACK FOR A DAY AND LIVE IN THOSE DAYS, AND WEAR THOSE GORGEOUS CLOTHES, THEY ARE SO ELEGANT. HAVING TEA AND WEARING A BEAUTIFUL DRESS, SOUNDS REAL NICE. RIZZI
Oh My..they are quite beautiful..but ohh, what it must have taken to get into one of the outfits. Imagine your waistline being cinched to a mere 19 or 20 inches..Now,having said that..I wish we were still wearing beautiful clothes like they did "back in the day". I love the long dresses, hoop skirts..I love it all. I just can't imagine getting out of it in a hurry.. :). Happy Pinks Coralie..have a lovely weekend.
Oh all those high neck clothes...makes my neck itch just thinking about wearing them. But the fashions are just fabulous.

ReplyDeleteCan you imagine getting an ITCH & trying to 'take care of it' with all that paraphernalia on? Remember those old lace up body suit corsets? Oy!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images tho, Coralie!
Have a beautiful weekend, sweet friend.
