For as long as I can remember I've had a love affair with words! When I was in high school and even after I left home, my mother and I had a date every single Sunday afternoon to play Scrabble. We challenged, we gloated, we laughed until our sides hurt and we loved every second shared.
A few weeks ago my daughter invited me to play Scrabble with her on Facebook! And it's been such a treat to share this mother and daughter tradition with her! What fun!
Words take you anywhere you want to go, don't they? That's probably why I enjoy Alphabe-Thursday so much! Thank you Mrs. Matlock! In a word...it's a pleasure!

ReplyDeleteI love Scrabble too. I didn't know you could play it on Facebook. How do you find it? Do tell.
ReplyDeleteI can win my share of games but I'm not a word specialist. Wish I was.
I had a couple computer games of it but don't have it loaded on my computer right now and I miss it for those times when I just want mindless play.

I adore Scrabble, but hadn't played in awhile; then a couple of weekends ago, my daughter and I played. It was so much fun. Reminded me of how I love the game. She was also telling me about Facebook Scrabble and says she plays it with her dad.
ReplyDeleteScrabble has to be one of my all time favorite games Coralie, I played by the hours, now there isn't anyone who likes to play!

Your scrabble board photo is adorable, so clever! Hubby and I went out to eat several weeks ago and there in the corner were board games. We played Scrabble and had a great time. We love board games and have such a good time playing them. We even had board game and puzzle day as the last party in my classroom.

ReplyDeleteI love playing Scrabble on Facebook. Its pretty addictive. For almost 18 months my husband was working in Qatar and I was at home. Its was very difficult but we kept in touch playing Scrabble on Facebook. So yes, you are right, words can take us very far and in my case right to the Middle-East. Thanks for sharing.
