B is for BLOSSOMS!

The 1930's magazine copy of the painting "BLOSSOMS" by Joseph P. Birren was cut and pasted into a scrapbook long ago by a young lady who loved art.
She also included a poem "I HEAR A WILD BIRD SINGING" by
Grace Noll Crowell!
I discovered her beautiful scrapbook from the 1930's a few years ago while antiquing in Ohio!

Enjoy and have a wonderful Alphabet Thursday!

  3. What a find for you...two things come to mind...such a sweet drawing and poem and the fact that once upon a time, making a scrapbook from such cutouts was what young girls did...a magazine, a pair of scissors and a little paste.
    No fancy gadgets needed.

A great style of painting/illustrating...or is it an oil? Anyways, I love the style:)
