However, to accept it, Laurie tells me I must "thrust aside all modesty and humility and blog about 7 things that make me awe-summm!"
So here goes:
1. I am learning to cook the cardiac diet way to keep my husband (& me) healthy after his open-heart surgery! And I do mean learning! I thought I had that cooking business all figured out years ago, but no. It's all about re-learning! Hard work since I'd rather be crafting!
2. I am blessed to have four wonderful children Paul, Tamara, Peter, and Carrie. They are amazing...just ask me!

3. I am also blessed to have grandchildren: Bryan, Allison, Jaclyn, Logan, and Paige. They're not only amazing; they are fabulous! (Can I take any credit for that?)
4. I have written and published two books of memoirs about my growing up days in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
5. I teach Women's Studies at a local university and love being able to help students understand more about the many cultural issues that affect them today.
6. Though I teach part-time, I am basically retired which allows me to spend time with family and friends. There's nothing better than that for me!
7. I am a huge animal lover and have three beautiful sheltie dogs who 'rule the roost' so to speak. They are the greatest fun and also comfort during our days spent at home.
Again, thank you for thinking of me, Laurie. I accept and pass this award on to all those who visit my blog because I think you are all particularly AWE-SUMMM!!!
It was so great to learn more about you, Coralie! I didn't know you taught, and what an interesting subject, too. And you're a published author, and therefore my hero!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! Coralie. What are the names of your memoirs? I bet they are fun to read, where can they be found. Hope you had a wonderful MD. TTFN ~ Marydon
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Coralie! You are awsome and I don't use that word lightly. It was wonderful to learn a little more about you.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Christine
So wonderful to know more about you Coralie! You are such a huge blessing to others...
ReplyDeleteI once had a Sheltie Doggie. We had her 10 years when she passed. We have a Yorkie now and even though I love her to pieces her temperament is nothing like our beloved Haliegh. She was soooo gentle and kind. Mollie (the Yorkie) is not kind...she has her sweetness...but she is full of attitude! Wants her way ALWAYS! I'm the boss but she THINKS she is!
Bless you friend. Hope your Mother's Day was beautiful...I love your flowers...
Love, Rebecca
My books are: "The Wishing Years" (1995) and "A Tree Grows in Trout Creek" (2007). I'm planning to make them available on Etsy (soon as I have time) and at a discount to all of my blogging friends! Thanks for all your sweet comments! I appreciate them!
ReplyDeleteHi, there! I have been very busy and very slow in thanking you for following my blog. And It's so cool to see your photos and read more about who you are. I will be back. Love those tulips in the other post!
ReplyDeleteGREAT family photos!
cheers!
