The American Fabrics Company of Bridgeport, Connecticut provided this display advertising for stores selling laces, embroidery, edgings, braid and other sewing accessories. The ad was to promote their booklet on "How to Make Things Beautiful" and sold for 10 cents!

You find the neatest things. I found a book - The Ontario Readers Primer titled Mary, John and Peter from 1933. It obviously belonged to a child because there are pencil marks all over the pages and they are well read.
How is your husband doing? Did you find any good recipes?

Oh, Coralie, what a find!!! You have such wonderful taste for the vintage. I clicked on the pic and saved it...hope you don't mind. I am going to print it and share with my little 3 year old granddaughter...lovely paperdolls! Perhaps, we'll "stitch" a book together showcasing these lovely ladies and children. Thanks so much for sharing!!! I hope that your husband has recuperated totally. I haven't been able to visit very much lately, so I am going to check around your blog a bit for updates!!! Have a wonderful weekend!!
    Hugs,
    Marilyn

Everyone...Thanks so much for all of your comments on this "find"! Please use the figures if you wish. I think the paper doll idea is just great Marilyn! What fun to share with your granddaughter!

My husband is coming along really well. In fact, it's difficult for me to keep him from overdoing right now since he feels so much better than before his surgery! Thanks for asking. We are making super progress!
