E is for Elves!
Elves is a general term for fairies especially in Anglo-Saxon Literature (lore). The king of elves, Oberon, his wife Titania, and the rascal Puck all appear in Shakespeare's famous play, A Midsummer Night's Dream. Though most elves live quiet lives without interfering directly with others, the impudent Puck involves himself in a lovers' tryst—a place he does not belong—leading to all sorts of complications!
