  2. Went to etsy. I have a question. How large is the cloth (it says 1/2 a feed sack)? And is the fabric in good enough condition to use in a garment?

  4. Jeannie,
These pieces are all approximately 22" x 36" and are like new fabric (each one is labeled in the title with the exact size). Excellent condition! Definitely strong enough for garments!
    Thanks for your interest!

  5. Love all these Vintage Feedsack Fabrics. I've collected them for years and have made a good many quilts out them and from the Feedsack Reproduction Fabrics as well. Happy Pink Saturday!

  7. Coralie, your vintage feedsacks are beautiful but being entirely ignorant here, what kind of feed do these pretties hold please?

  9. These are from the mid 20th century when animal feed was sold in colorful cotton bags and farm wives used the sturdy cotton to make clothing and quilts. Today, we still make clothing and quilts from these saved and collectible feedsacks!
    Thanks for asking!

I should add, there is no feed in them now. They have been gently washed, pressed, and are ready for use!

  11. Hi Coralie, these feedsacks are such pretty patterns. I remember our mom making dresses out of them for us. My uncle owned the feed store so she was able to pick the best prints. We also were allowed to pick our faves. Those were the days.
