D is for Divine Dancer!

D is for Divine Dancer!

(The cut-out of Ana Pavlova is from a 1930's art scrapbook
which I discovered at an antique mall a few months ago!)

Anna Pavloa was a Russian ballerina of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
She is regarded as one of the most famous and popular classical ballet dancers in history and was most noted as a principal artist of the Imperial Russian Ballet.

I can totally visualize a young, dreamy-eyed girl filling her scrapbook full of dreams and desires.

  13. A flutter of hands, like two white birds……

How perfect a description for, as you stated, this divine dancer. As a huge fan of ballet, I am familiar with her and the joy she brought to the world of dance.
