Here is a third offering of the Lassie books in my vintage collection. I'll be sharing these Lassie books all week so be sure to come back and see all the others I'll be posting. Today's book is entitled, Lassie and the Kittens. Don't you just love the colors and graphics on this cover?
As a child, I fell in love with Lassie and could never get enough of the stories about this wonderful collie! How about you? Did you enjoy the tales of rescue: books, films, and TV?
Today, I am also participating in RUBY TUESDAY hosted by WORK OF THE POET. Click HERE to see more participants and their beautiful shades of red!
Yes, I loved all the Lassie stories. And it is a pretty cover on the book. But then lassie is a pretty dog.
ReplyDeleteNow this book looks like a collector's item to me for sure!!!
ReplyDeleteMine's Here A sweet kitty...but sour puss under the Christmas tree with ruby colored, red bows...you need to scroll down on the post, just below my pencil sketch!
The lassie pictures are gorgeous! I always wanted a Lassie, but alas we did not have any dogs when I was a kid. Thanks for sharing the fun books Coralie.
ReplyDeleteYes, I adored all the Lassie stories too - such a beautiful dog but then, so are Bonnie & Carrie!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for visiting & also becoming a follower - very much appreciated (I'm returning the compliment!)
Happy Ruby Tuesday to you - and have a great week too!
Lola & Nora:)
Lassie is such a reminder of the past when things were slower. Life was different. Now everyone seems to rush about. I need to get some of my old Lassie books and read. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYay! More Lassie! If they ran the old Lassie show now, I would still watch it! Good clean fun!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Carol
I think as kids we all wanted a Lassie of our very own. At least I did.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!

ReplyDeleteI love the old Roddy McDowell/Elizabeth Taylor movie of "Lassie Come Home" - is one of my favorites. I love your sharing of the book covers from your collection - an awesome collection, I might add!
ReplyDeleteI loved Lassie and don't think I missed one episode growing up. I love your sweet babies..we have 3 pugs two of which are rescues. I'd have a dozen if I could afford to feed them..heehhe!!! Have a great week dear..and thanks for your visit...((hugs))

Thanks for stopping by my blog...I'm glad I stopped by yours! It is delightful!
ReplyDeleteI watched the television show Lassie growing up. When people ask me what kind of dogs I have, and look confused when I say "shelties", they always understand when I say, "Oh, they look like small Lassie dogs."
I had that exact book and I had forgotten it. Thanks for the memory!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to read this one! He-hee! ♥
ReplyDeleteOh, that's a cute one with the kitties! Lassie was a bit before my time, but I remember the B&W reruns of the show and how much I admired her beauty!
ReplyDeleteOh Coralie how sweet! I loved Lassie also and watched it on tv faithfully...I had a crush on Timmy (O: Thanks for sharing these with us..
ReplyDeleteGosh, what a walk down memory lane this post is...my youngest son adored Lassie when he was younger..he watched the reruns daily and even had to tape them.
ReplyDeleteI have so much fun looking at all your books...brings back such lovely memories! Keep up the good work!
