ReplyDeleteLove that Nancy Drew! Beautiful illustrations. What memories this brings back. Oh many times I got in trouble for having a flashlight under the covers to read a Nancy Drew Mystery!
ReplyDeleteI love old Nancy Drew books, they are wonderful. But I have to say my fave is her as a redhead. I am biased towards them I guess.

What gorgeous books, and wonderful memories they bring back, I remember wanting to be Nancy Drew as a young girl!!
ReplyDeleteI loved those books, and Cherry Ames, Student Nurse books too. What a great find, and I agree about the graphics being great.
ReplyDeleteLove this post...remembering reading Nancy Drew as a girl. I actually have all the books I read back then. Some are the blue books with the paper book jackets.
ReplyDeleteBooks are some of my favorite things! And the older, the better, too. :) I read Nancy Drew mysteries and even watched the TV series with Pamela Sue Martin in the 70s. Both of my daughters have read many of the books, too. We still have several of them! :)
ReplyDeleteI never read any of her books but remember watching the series on TV back in the 70s.
ReplyDeleteHow awesome! I love those books!

I vaquely remember reading a few of those when younger. Thanks for the memory.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!

I remember these, The Bobbsey twins, and Box Car children books. Oh and Trixie Belden. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh I used to love these books - it's been years since I've seen any, or even heard anyone mention them. What a lovely find!
ReplyDeleteI was always given Nancy Drew books for my birthdays during the early 1960's. I read them over and over again. My daughter has them now, I hope that she has kept them in good condition for her lil' Emmy, who at nearly three adores books, just as much as her Mama and Grammy do!
ReplyDeleteHi Coralie!
ReplyDeleteYour Nancy Drew books are a real find, the covers are so pretty and they look to be in perfect condition.
I still love it when the Hallmark Chanel runs the Nancy Drew mysteries. Also, the Hardy Boys is another favorite.
I love mysteries and I'm particular fond of Agatha Christie's Miss Marple and Poirot, the Belgium Detective.
I grew up reading Nancy Drew. I wanted to solve mysteries just like her, but there weren't any. I'm still getting around to finishing the series. Rosie
ReplyDeleteI loved Nancy Drew. So did my daughters. Your reproductions were a real bargain. This was a lovely find.
ReplyDeleteOh my youngest would be so jealous! she is 14 and has been collecting Nancy Drew books for years (shes my thrifting buddy...at least i got one out of three). Her goal is to own a set of each of the sets...the '30s-50s, the 60s-80s and the 90s-present. i think she inherited my collecting gene!

I don´t know the storys, but the lady on the cover seems to be quiet curious.
ReplyDeleteThis illustrations re marvelous
I used to love reading Nancy Drew and Trixie Beldon, too! Twyla
ReplyDeleteI adore Nancy Drew! The vintage editions are so much better than the 60s revisions. SO much richer and non-pc. Thanks for the fabulous covers
ReplyDeleteOh man, Coralie, them is purdy! Brilliant colors. I remember reading (devouring) Nancy Drews when I was in jr. high school. My sister did, too. Our school had the ooooold brown-covered editions. But, I loved the old 30's fashions they'd show on the opening pages. You really got a great deal!
ReplyDeleteMy sister had all the Nancy Drew books, hers were the yellow covered editions (probably from the 70's). I remember loving the Bobbsey twins!
ReplyDeleteThanks for a stroll down memory lane!
I love the graphics and I LOVE Nancy Drew! Great finds!
