Don't these cookies sound delicious and remind you of days gone by? Maybe they'll even bring back a memory or two for you! Happy remembering! Have a beautiful day, everyone!

Good Morning Coralie,
ReplyDeleteI just love that little cherub standing all innocent in fron of the lady. How sweet is that.
No one in this house will eat cherries except for me. So a whole batch of these all to myself? Probably not the best idea. ;) But I'm sure I can find someone to help eat them!
ReplyDeleteAdorable valentine, too! :)

Your own book was recommended and is on the list:
A Tree Grows in Trout Creek.
I think that is an honor because my blog readers have great and eclectic taste in books :)

ReplyDeleteI first made these for my grandmother who was spending her last days in a nursing home excluding the raisins & walnuts and using cornflakes instead...Before Christmas each year, Someone is always asking~ do you have the recipe for Mama's Cherry Winks since she loved to make them, they became her trademark being a wonderful cookie baker...and how I happened onto your site. My cookbook is almost 46 yrs old now and the recipe seems to disappear from time to time. Thank you what a wonderful way to beautiful way to share the recipe...
