"A Scene in Western Spain" by Wells M. Sawyer
Today, I'm revisiting the beautiful 1930's scrapbook I found in an antique mall in Ohio last year. The wonderful works of art snipped and saved by a young woman many years ago provides a touch of true 1930's art for all us to enjoy! I'll soon be sharing her entire collection of art illustrations in the coming weeks, as each offers a treasure to behold! I hope you enjoy the selections as much as I do!

Lovely painting. Did this girl do the paintings, or just saved the prints?

Cindy,
ReplyDeleteThis young girl snipped these art prints from a publication back in the 1930's and scrapbooked them!
Wayyyyyyy beautiful! A sunny scene especially on a very cold Jan. morning here. :-)
ReplyDeleteBut I just can't "get into Blue." :-) This is just me. But will you please come over and see a different side of 'Ol' Auntie'..., on this first Monday in 2010? ,-)
Hugs...
What an interesting picture to find in a scrapbook. I'm a "scrapper" myself and look forward to seeing more of your vintage pages.

ReplyDeleteWouldn't you love to have a poster of that scene to have framed and hung on a wall? It is so pretty. You find some amazing treasures; I have never looked for old scrapbooks in antique stores, what a good idea.
