A Scene in Western Spain for Blue Monday!

"A Scene in Western Spain" by Wells M. Sawyer

Today, I'm revisiting the beautiful 1930's scrapbook I found in an antique mall in Ohio last year. The wonderful works of art snipped and saved by a young woman many years ago provides a touch of true 1930's art for all us to enjoy! I'll soon be sharing her entire collection of art illustrations in the coming weeks, as each offers a treasure to behold! I hope you enjoy the selections as much as I do!

For more Monday Blues and to learn how to join, go to Smiling Sally's Blue Monday!
Thank you Sally for sharing this great blogging activity for all to join!

Happy Blue Monday everyone!

  4. Lovely painting. Did this girl do the paintings, or just saved the prints?

  5. Cindy,
This young girl snipped these art prints from a publication back in the 1930's and scrapbooked them!

  6. Wayyyyyyy beautiful! A sunny scene especially on a very cold Jan. morning here. :-)

But I just can't "get into Blue." :-) This is just me. But will you please come over and see a different side of 'Ol' Auntie'..., on this first Monday in 2010? ,-)

    Hugs...

  12. Wouldn't you love to have a poster of that scene to have framed and hung on a wall? It is so pretty. You find some amazing treasures; I have never looked for old scrapbooks in antique stores, what a good idea.
