I love these vintage children's books especially classics like this one, Mother West Dind's Children, by Thornton W. Burgess and published by Grosset and Dunlap!
Isn't that curious Mr. Rabbit just too darn cute!

ReplyDeleteHappy Monday as we welcome another work week. I was in Montana and Idaho last fall-it was fun scouring the antique shops and finding old books I had read as a child.
ReplyDeleteI agree, the vintage books are so lovely and the curious Mr. Rabbit is adorable!!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy most all books including vintage children issues. This is a great old story. Thanks for a good memory.
ReplyDeleteOh, how beautiful! I love Thornton Burgess' books and have a few of them from this period--but not this one! I love it! Thanks for sharing this lovely book...
ReplyDeleteHope your first day of March is a beautiful one!
I'm not a fan of Blue, but this book is so precious! :-)
ReplyDeleteYou are sweet to do a give away. But since I have never done one, I don't put my name in any give aways. I hope you will understand.
Happy Blue Monday!
ReplyDeleteOh, how lovely! Thank you for sharing this with us, dear one. ((hugs)) Blue monday fits today. Thank you.

ReplyDeleteHappy Blue Monday Coralie - Love the book jacket.
ReplyDeleteI love old children's books too..still have a few of mine that my Mom saved...
ReplyDeleteHi Coralie, That is a sweet book. Books today are not as charming as the old ones. The rabbit does look like he is hiding and listening. Bad rabbit. HA!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on 500 Posts. It really is an accomplishment. blogging takes so much time. I find I struggle with visiting everyone as often as I would like. I see lots of bloggers who visit so much, then get burned out quick. Several of my blogging friends have stared out like crazy and then in a few months just get over it. Slow and steady, that's me. I do enjoy your blog very much.
Have a wonderful week
Hugs, Jeanne
What a sweet book. There is something "Peter Rabbit" to the cover. I love old things!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blue illustrations !
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
~Myrna
