My! What a pretty red comb you have!
The above pictures are taken from a vintage book that was still very pretty but not repairable. So I cut out the beautiful animals panels (there are more than shown which I'll share on another day), glued pretty scrapbook papers to their backs, and made them into cards for my toddler grandchildren Logan 4 and Paige 2. I hoped they would have fun with this game and they love it!

I am always so enthralled with vintage storybook pictures. They have such wonderful color and detail. I know yourgrandchildren will have loads of fun.
ReplyDeleteI love them!! Today's illustrations seem to all be done on a computer with no depth and no details!
ReplyDeleteI am thrilled that you didn't just throw away those books! I can't bear the thought of books going into the trash unless there simply is no hope at all for them. You certainly found a terrific way to give them new life! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea for those sweet vintage images, Coralie!
ReplyDeleteReceived my books and all the lovely little images yesterday--thank-you so much! I love them both! The '30's are my favorite time period for books & illustrations, so these are just perfect!
Hope you're having a wonderful day!
Coralie-What a fantastic idea. They will probably look at them for hours. Have a wonderful day.
