Good News! It's All About Hearts!

Jim is home and his heart is healing from surgery only a week ago! He is up and walking and feeling better than he's felt for a long time! We are in 7th Heaven!

Then what should appear at our door today but the gorgeous shabby chic "Vintage Home" wall hanging that Katie of ragamuffingal.blogspot.com customed designed for me. This was the generous prize I won in her ONE WORLD ONE HEART drawing. I am absolutely thrilled with her wonderful artwork! And it's almost as if she had visited my home as the sign couldn't be more perfect! Thank you so much, Katie!

  1. I'm so glad that your husband is feeling better. Medicine works miracles these days. My father was on the list waiting for open heart surgery (a valve replacement) in 1956 but didn't get the surgery in time and died on New Years Day 1957. Fifty-one years later, I was on the list for a heart transplant but I received mine. It is so ironic.

    Blessings to both of you,
    Christine

  2. I just wanted to let you know that open heart and a heart transplant really aren't that different. Of course, the transplant takes a little longer but recovery wise, they're the same. Actually, the recovery was better for the transplant. I think it is because they had gotten so much better at it in 15 years. The first time, my chest hurt for about 8-9 months. The second time, it was a matter of weeks. Your husband should look forward to a speedy recovery. My prayers are with you AND your husband.
