These are the kind of transfer patterns used to create those gorgeous embroidered pillow cases, dresser scarves, and runners one so often finds at flea markets and antique malls. I just love the look of these! Stunning stitchery! And even the pattern transfers are lovely!

I remember those!!!!! I loved embroidered pillow cases and my grandmother had such beautiful ones. I bought several of those patterns and tried to embroidery some myself but I am not a sewer and they did not turn out anything like my grandmothers. (Some sat in my sewing basket for years.)

I love these old Alice Brooks patterns. They actually still sell them today if you can find the right store.
