I can never resist an old magazine with all it's interesting illustrations, advertising and stories! This great piece of history was a thrifty find for only $3!
Wish my history teachers had thought to include some of these fascinating pieces into our classes when I was growing up. History class was mostly (I hate to admit it but...) dull for me, but now I can't get enough of what happened back when!
I love letting my fingers walk me through old magazines. Yours is lovely. TTFN ~Marydon
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing those magazines. I just recently bought a June 1958 Life Magazine and have been having fun looking at it. I choose June 1958 because that was the month/year I was born. It's very cool to see how the world was while I was just a few days old. :)
ReplyDeleteI love old magazines too! Especially the advertising.

DITTO!!! I hated history and had a lousy teacher, but I'm making up for lost time now. They should have hauled out some great old visual aids...some of us just learn a bit better if we SEE it. :-)
ReplyDeleteLoved the post.
