After seeing some of the early vintage primer pages I'd posted a few weeks ago, my friend Doreen sent these photos of a 1930's Ontario primer she owns. She told me I could post them on my blog since she works mainly in miniatures. Now how sweet and thoughtful is that! Very SWEET an THOUGHTFUL indeed. Thank you so much Doreen!!! (You must see her amazing projects!!!)
Don't you just love these vintage primer pages! Especially the old illustrations!

Yes Coralie, I did see this the day you posted it. Thank you for your kind words about it. I follow your blog everyday even though I don't always comment. I am not a sewer or knitter even though I have done some of both. Just the bare bit that was part of motherhood. (Mending etc.) I am always willing to try anything and I have taken sewing lessons and made my children pyjamas and a dress (notice I say "A") for my daughter. I took cooking classes and tried a few dishes out on the family. I have picked up a hammer and saw, paint and paintbrush, lawnmower and hoe etc etc etc. I guess you could say I am a Jack of all trades, master of none. But I have never been very good at the regular things like sewing, knitting, decorating, baking. I guess because I was always working outside the home and in my spare time I worked with the Girl Guide organization for many years. Now I am learning all these skills in miniature as I create my dollhouse the way I would like to have a real home.
